EU AI Act Scoping

The EU AI Act Scoping Questionnaire helps organizations determine if and how they are affected by the EU AI Act regulations. This interactive tool guides you through key questions to assess your AI system's classification and applicable requirements.

Depending on your classification, you will need to fulfill different number of Requirements/Controls.

Assessment Areas

The questionnaire covers several key areas to determine AI Act applicability:

  • Purpose and use case of the AI system
  • Geographic scope and deployment location
  • Risk level classification
  • Technical capabilities and features
  • Impact on individuals and fundamental rights

Prerequisites

  • You have the AI Product project created in Modulos Platform
  • You have the EU AI Act Framework enabled in AI Product project
  • The Project was created after February 12th, 2025

Using the Scoping Questionnaire

  1. Open the AI Product project in Modulos Platform.

  2. Navigate to the Controls section in your AI Product project.

  3. Click "Optimize the EU AI Act Scope" in the top right corner.

  1. Answer the series of YES/NO questions about your Organization, AI system's purpose, capabilities, and deployment.

  1. Number of questions will vary between 1 and 47 depending on your answers.

  1. Review the scoping results, classification and number of Requirements/Controls you need to fulfill.

  1. Click "Confirm Scoping" to apply the scoping results to your AI Product project.

  1. Results are uploaded as the Evidence to the Control MCF-150.

Updating Assessments

You can update your scoping assessment at any time if there are changes to:

  • Your AI system's functionality
  • Deployment scope
  • Use cases
  • Technical capabilities

Just open the Scoping Questionnaire again and click "Re-take Questionnaire" button.

Regular reviews are recommended to ensure continued alignment with EU AI Act requirements.
